Ecological Clerk of Works - Staffordshire - major construction/infrastructure project - £350-£450 per day (inside IR35) - 12 month minimum contract.

The role:-
As an Ecological Clerk of Works, provide support to the construction team on ecological issues. As part of the wider environmental team working alongside the construction team, the Ecological Clerk of Works helps progress a strategic direction for managing ecological constraints and facilitating works. This will be done by overseeing site works were required and advising on the required mitigation techniques in line with the Ecological Arboricultural Permit (EAP) process, Standards, NE licences and Method Statements

Responsibilities:-
Overseeing site works on site and advising on ecological matters
Liaising with the site teams, environmental team, license holders and contractors regarding ecological elements of schemes
Identifying ecological constraints and advising on exclusions and buffer zones until the relevant mitigation schemes have been developed
Producing reports and registers to manage ecological issues
Deliver ecological training and toolbox talks to the site teams where required
Monitor sub-contractors and in-house teams working on ecologically sensitive works

Qualifications/experience required:-
Relevant degree and experience of ecology in the construction industry
Membership or working towards membership of a professional body i.e. CIEEM
Experience of working on similar infrastructure projects and working alongside contractors
Experience of implementing exclusion areas and ecological mitigation
