Job Title: Document Controller

Role Overview:

Our client is seeking a Document Controller to join their team at Bamford WTW, offering hybrid work options. The successful candidate will report to the Information Manager and play a crucial role in supporting the governance process from start to finish and aiding in project handover. This role involves close collaboration with onsite and project teams to ensure the accurate retrieval of documentation from key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Document Control efforts for assigned projects.
  • Facilitate project setup on Sharepoint, including access and electronic filing.
  • Serve as the primary contact for document-related queries on the BMS.
  • Provide BMS and Document Control training and coaching to the team.
  • Oversee the documentation flow from pre-construction to design, construction, and handover/commissioning.
  • Maintain and manage the project document and drawing register.
  • Perform QA checks on documentation before uploading.
  • Upload documents to relevant systems, manage responses, and circulate for project team action.
  • Participate in monthly Document Control and project progress meetings.
  • Generate and manage RAG reports.

Candidate Profile:

Essential:

  • Proven experience in document control or a similar role.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office and other IT systems.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize workload effectively.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively at all levels.
  • Team-oriented with good interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with Business Collaborator, SharePoint, or the capability to learn and solve problems quickly.

Desirable:

  • Previous experience in construction or a related industry.
  • Full UK driving license and the ability to travel as needed.
