Document Controller – Liverpool – Construction – Up to £35,000 plus car allowance

The Client
My client is a main contractor with a high reputation in the North-West region in the residential sector. They are looking for a Document Controller to work fulltime in their head office in Liverpool.

Role
This role has elements of technical design within the role, and you will be working alongside the Design Manager to manage the Design aspect and manage the distribution of information through the Aconex system.

Your role will also involve the Design process in which you will be involved in developing and managing the procedures, policies and processes within the construction phase of projects. You will have an active role in consulting with Architects and Structural Engineers and generating reports for the rest of the site teams.

This role would suit a candidate who has an understanding of the design process of projects as this is a more technical role. A background in Architectural Assistants, Design Coordinator or Technical Coordinator would be suitable for this role.

Duties
- Assist in developing and implementing document control systems for new projects
- Document Control - Drawing and Project Information management ensuring project teams have up to date project information via document control trackers
- Manage the flow of drawings, documentation, and data within the organization
- Updating drawing folders (both paper folder and on the shared database)
- Ensure all technical documents, such as reports, calculations and drawings are collected and registered appropriately on the company database.
- Producing document progress reports for senior managers
- Conducting regular reviews and document audits
- Using computers to organise and distribute documents within a company
- Keeping well-organised and up to date files and records of drawings, documents and data, and ensuring that documents are saved and referenced correctly on the company database.
- Maintaining and updating training files, ensuring that all refresher training is carried out in good time, and all records are accurate and up to date.
- Using various external client software packages for documents and drawings

Candidate
• Experience using Aconex, 4Projects or Asite – desirable
• Design or Technical Background – Experience in Architectural Assistant, Technical Coordinator or Design Coordinator roles would suit perfectly
• Excellent It Skills – Proficient in Ms Office
• Excellent numeracy and literacy skills, with a high level of attention to detail
• Analytical – able to work methodically, with an organised and confident approach to dealing with their workload.

Up to £35,000 Depending on experience
