Anderselite are looking for an Architect/Senior architectural technician/technologist/Design Manager candidate to work on a contract basis where your role will include;
• meet with clients to agree the project brief
• develop briefs and work on these as the project progresses
• evaluate and advise on environmental, legal and regulatory issues
• contribute/prepare planning applications and other regulatory application procedures
• identify the surveys required before work can commence, ensuring theyre undertaken, and
their results are fed into the project
• prepare and present architectural/building design proposals using computer-aided design
• lead the detailed design process and coordinate design information
• liaise with appropriate authorities (e.g. planning enquiries and building inspectors) when
producing documentation for statutory approval
• produce detailed specifications for projects
• carry out design-stage risk assessments
• managing own workload, updating forward plan of workload regularly and working to time
allocations
• monitor the work of trainee technicians and contribute to the overall running of the
department
• evaluate and advise on refurbishment, re-use, recycling and deconstruction
• able to take charge of personal project deliverables, make decisions on developing the
discipline design elements, act on own initiative and operate in a pro-active way

Requirements include;
• Degree qualified, or equivalent qualification, in Architecture/Building or related subjects
• Chartered Architect/Technoloist/Technician/Building Surveyor (or working towards)
• Good level of computer literacy in a range of digital tools including Autodesk Revit, Autocad,
Navisworks, BIM 360, NBS and Microsoft packages
• Knowledge of BIM
• Aware of energy reduction methods and approaches to decarbonising existing buildings
• Experience of working in a design consultancy and/or some experience of working within a
contractor design environment is beneficial
• Good knowledge of appropriate technical standards
• Able to take charge of personal project deliverables, make decisions on developing the
discipline design elements, act on own initiative and operate in a pro-active way
• Good report writing skills, experience of making presentations to and attending meetings
with clients
• Comfortable working within time and cost budgets as agreed at project briefing meetings
• Undertake any other reasonable tasks or duties as required by the management team from
time to time, in order to maintain flexibility in the organisation
• Experience of working on existing buildings
