our client, a well know Tier 1 contractor is seeking to employ a Design Manager to be based from their West Yorkshire office (with Hybrid working) working on a major rail and infrastructure schemes in the North of the country.

We are seeking individuals with a strong civil engineering background (degree qualified, chartered) and with considerable previous experience of working within the rail industry on rail schemes (ideally multi disciplinary rail projects working for a Tier 1 contractor).

The following are mandatory requirements:

Knowledge of design delivery process gained through successful experience of design and design co-ordination role for projects or designer responsibility.
Knowledge of project management process gained through successful experience of project management.
Knowledge of the work process in design offices through successful experience of design delivery coordination.

Knowledge of design standards and procedures.
Graduate or equivalent qualification and / or chartered engineer.
