Our client, a long established and respected brand name throughout the water and wastewater industries, with vast experience in surveying, managing & maintaining water industry assets, is currently recruiting a Data Administrator / Data Analyst, to join their internal Flow Monitoring department in Worcester, who are responsible for monitoring the level of water/waste, flowing through underground sewer and water infrastructure.

This is all achieved through the use of modern technology, including the monitoring of remote sensor access, and CCTV monitoring, which feeds data to their office, which you will be responsible for monitoring, deciphering and all round helping to predict where issues are occurring, with the underground sewer / drainage system. This work will help to prevent flooding and over time, you will be able to read data to understand where issues are likely to occur in the future, then dealing with internal field based operatives, arranging for maintenance work / preventative flooding measures to be completed.

Our client is constantly using and developing technology and software to ensure that they are working as efficiently and accurately as possible, and they are ideally looking to a technical and IT literate candidate who can help them push innovation in the future. The overall aim of this role is to provide administrative & technical support to the Flow Surveying team and to support with data analysis, maintenance scheduling and report production.

Daily duties will be split into data support, reporting and general admin, as noted below:

Data Support Duties:

  • Setup Flow Survey projects using internal web based Data Management Platform
  • Setup & manage customer access to internal web based Data Management Platform
  • Support data analysis & maintenance scheduling
  • Support field teams with Metadata related queries
  • Support field teams with Field App queries

Reporting Duties:

  • Support production of Flow Survey reports
  • Support reporting requirements for permanent installations
  • Update and maintain project KPI / progress reports
  • Update and maintain customer tracker reports
  • Assist with Weekly performance tracking
  • Manage project photographs
  • Manage external customer requests

General Admin Duties:

  • Filing (Paper & Digital Information)
  • Archiving of completed projects
  • Maintain shared OneDrive folders for individual survey teams
  • Maintain accurate records with Department MS Access Database

Candidates will be expected to:

  • Be analytically minded, with a keen eye for detail, happy to monitor large volumes of data
  • Be I.T literate, capable of using different web-based software packages (training will be provided)
  • Have previously created professional reports, or be comfortable creating professional reports for clients
  • Have strong organisation, analytical and communication skills
