I’m currently recruiting an experienced Commercial Manager on behalf of my client a Leading Main Contractor to join their team in Coventry on a freelance basis.

Pay rate £40-£50 per hr this will be based on experience.
Length of contract Six months

Responsibilities:


Responsible for effectively managing the commercial resources of a project throughout the project lifecycle in order to ensure success of the project objectives, maximise profit and ensure the success of the Business Plan.

Encourage ‘best practice’ and ‘continuous improvement’ in the planning, provision and monitoring of commercial support and assurance to the Project Manager/the project delivery team

Pursue own professional development and provide support and guidance to promote the development of other commercial sta

Be able to commercially manage all aspect of a PFI Healthcare project including planned and reactive works, payment mechanisms, contractual notices, contract compliance, disputes, life cycle works budget control and delivery.


• Demonstrate a high level of commercial and technical knowledge and work as part of the Project Delivery Team in early review of techniques and solutions to meet the business and customer objectives.
• Early identification of business risks in projects throughout their lifecycle, from pre-contract to close out, and ensure that risk management, risk registers and contingencies are in place to manage and minimise the risks.
• Ensure that materials and off-site services are procured in an efficient manner with organisations that are capable of carrying out the work and in accordance with best practice, legal requirements and the Supply Chain Policy and ensure appropriate records are kept.
• Work with the Supply Chain to promote and measure continuous improvement in the profitability, costs, quality and learning of all parties, whilst fairly allocating risks and rewards.
• Conduct all duties in a manner compatible with company Construction Health and Safety and Environmental Policies.
