About the Company


We are currently working with a well-established, multidisciplinary engineering consultancy who are looking to appoint a Civil Engineering Technician to join their team in Leeds. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled technician to get involved in a variety of high-profile projects across sectors such as retail, logistics, rail, residential, commercial, and renewables.

About the Role

As a Civil Technician, you will play a key role in supporting engineers and producing high-quality technical drawings and models using AutoCAD and Civils 3D. You'll also be involved in design problem-solving, liaising with statutory bodies, and helping to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of projects.

Responsibilities

Prepare and develop 2D and 3D engineering drawings and models using AutoCAD and Civils 3D
Produce and check basic engineering calculations
Conduct initial reviews of your own work for accuracy and quality
Contribute to design development and provide practical solutions to design issues
Collaborate with clients, contractors, and statutory bodies including local authorities, water companies, and the Environment Agency
Work closely with engineers and other technicians to meet project deadlines and maintain output quality

Requirements

Proven experience as a Civil Engineering Technician
Strong working knowledge of Civils 3D
Familiarity with infrastructure design projects such as highways, drainage, or site development is highly advantageous
Good communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving
