Buyer - Andover - Retail Fit Out - Construction

Are you an experienced buyer in the construction and fit out sector?

We are recruiting on behalf of a contractor who specialise in managing fit out/refurbishment projects for some of the high street's best well know designer and high-end brands across London and the south-east .

Due a significant increase in workload , the contractor is looking to take on a buyer who can demonstrate a track record of being able to make savings for the business but who is also able to build long standing relationships with suppliers .

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Negotiate with our supply chains for procuring goods and services to be delivered to construction/fast track fitout sites
• Organisation skills ensuring hire records of plant and equipment are maintained and returned to the appropriate place when a contract is completed
• Management/co-ordination of all transport and collections from our sites
• Approve incoming supply invoices, liaising with our internal accounts department and suppliers to resolve queries.

The successful individual would be asked to supervise an assistant buyer and encourage their ongoing development.

All applicants would need to live within a 30-mile radius of our Andover Office.
Industry recognised qualification or equivalent (desirable).
