A privately owned regional contractor requires an energetic Business Development Manager to join their senior team of construction professionals in identifying and pursuing projects that align with their sectors.

They specialise in various construction projects within social housing, education, healthcare, commercial, residential, industrial and leisure sectors, project value between £1m - £7m. As such, you need to have previous experience within the construction industry to thrive in your role.

The primary role is to support the business and feed into the pre-construction team to ensure significant pipeline of opportunities.
Summary of your role:
• Identify new opportunities to tender within the public sector
• Co-ordinate and complete the prequalification process following initial expression of interest or client invitation
• Return a comprehensive bid for inclusion on tender list or for Northwest framework agreements including collating general information and responding to project specific requirements
• Prepare presentations and assist contracts team to collate any supporting documentation required for interview or tender
• Oversee/work alongside document control to ensure that all relevant government web sites (in tend host/blue light etc) are checked weekly for new contract alerts and notifications.
• Ensure that document control sends all current and valid insurances/accounts to Constructionline/NW Consortium/CHAS.
• Be instrumental in all marketing efforts inclusive of creating case studies for each contract awarded, generating newsletters, updating websites, attending industry events, and submitting projects for award consideration.

• 5-10 years’ experience working in business development roles within Construction
• Proven track record of building a strong pipeline of work
• Excellent communication and networking skills
• Proactive, energetic, and hungry for success
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
