Anderselite is looking for an experienced BIM Manager to join our client team in their Birmingham office.
The Client is a leading main contractor specializing in delivering high-quality construction and engineering solutions across various sectors.
The BIM Manager’s role is to coordinate the process of generating and managing 3D models with the overall objective of providing project design and delivery improvements. The successful candidate will work closely with the Engineering Manager and have experience within the Water, Nuclear/Oil, or Gas sector.

Responsibilities:
• Develop and deliver the Company’s BIM strategy in line with project, programme and client requirements
• Lead and manage the CAD design teams to work with models and develop accurate 3D designs in accordance with the project requirements
• Act as the Subject Matter Expert in one or more of the 3D modelling tools such as BIM360, AutoCAD, Revit (includes plant 3D, civil 2D) and promote effective use of such tools
• Provide training and mentoring to the CAD team and other stakeholders as appropriate
• Act as the primary interface with Clients and other 3rd parties involved in delivering BIM-related content to facilitate effective collaboration and federation of the BIM model.
• Keep abreast of industry best practices, standards, and technologies through participation in BIM related forums, communities of practice etc. to facilitate cross-project knowledge transfer
• Manage software licenses including overseeing the installation of new software versions
• Teaching CAD designers new working methods and automation of repetitive tasks
• Participating in meetings with clients and others as a “BIM expert” in the company
• Investigating and putting in place new digitalisation features (as visualising a project with Virtual or Augmented Reality)
• Driving the implementation of digital information solutions and lead the implementation of digital construction processes throughout the life cycle of project
• Raising the profile of BIM across all departments
• Co-creating a BIM implementation plan for each specific project – creating BEP (BIM Execution Plan) and project-specific training documentation
• Understand and ensure any changes in procedure and standards are effectively communicated to project teams
• Comply with client standard and specifications in relation to BIM and digital technologies
• Coordinate and manage BIM project data sets/workflow and project set up
• Communicate effectively and offer cross-team support
• Set up linked models and coordinate models across disciplines
• Daily model management administration and maintenance
• Understand and execute government standards by implementing during virtual design and construction phase
• Responsible for organisation wide BIM standards, implementation, and enforcement.
• Any other duties commensurate with the position as may be assigned from time to time



Qualifications, Skills and Attributes:
• A degree or equivalent qualification in BIM Management
• Demonstrable relevant experience in the role of BIM Manager
• Ability to motivate and lead a team, and work in a team environment
• Experience of working within a design and build environment
• Confident in the use or thorough understanding of the key design and authoring software (Plant 3D, Revit)
• Proficient in using BIM authoring tools to provide technical support and mentoring required to the project team
• Experience of implementing ISO 19650
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to influence others
• Keen attention to detail
• Can evidence new ways of thinking which deliver benefits

What we offer:
• Salary £55 000-£68 000 (depending on experience) + car/car allowance and many more other benefits
