BIM Manager

Location: West Midlands or Leeds (Hybrid working)
Industry: Construction
Contract Type: Permanent

Summary

We are seeking an experienced BIM Manager to support our client’s internal design team alongside operational, manufacturing, and commercial functions. The role involves implementing and managing BIM processes throughout the entire project lifecycle—from design and construction to handover and operation. The successful candidate will ensure the effective use of BIM technologies to enhance collaboration, communication, and efficiency across projects, acting as a key liaison between stakeholders and integrating BIM workflows in line with ISO 19650 ‘Lead Appointed Party’ accreditation.

This senior role will provide turnkey design services during pre- and post-contract phases across diverse sectors including Education, Healthcare, Defence, Justice, Retail, and Commercial. Projects utilise modern offsite and modular construction methods. The BIM Manager will lead the adoption and continuous improvement of digital information management within the construction business and wider group, ensuring compliance with industry standards, mentoring colleagues, and driving cultural change towards digital delivery excellence.

Key responsibilities include interpreting client BIM requirements, developing BIM strategies aligned with ISO 19650 or PAS 1192, managing Common Data Environment (CDE) workflows, preparing BIM documentation (BEPs, MIDPs, TIDPs, AIRs, COBie), leading supply chain BIM capability reviews, and coordinating design consultants. The role also involves acting as Information Manager when required, overseeing clash detection workshops, auditing BIM standards, verifying as-built models, and co-managing digital O&M manuals to support facilities management.

Strategically, the BIM Manager will promote BIM awareness, maintain internal BIM standards, support training and assurance programmes, capture innovation opportunities, and ensure ongoing compliance with ISO 19650-2:2018 and ISO 9001 audits.
