BID WRITER - CIVIL ENGINEERING & INFRASTRUCTURE - PERMANENT - NORTH WEST
Bid Writer required for a national civil engineering and infrastructure contractor based in the North West. The Bid Writer will play a crucial role in the companies expansion, as they look to develop key opportunities with in the Rail, Highways and Nuclear sectors. The ideal candidate will have experience of developing bids with a keen eye for technical detail, and will have exposure to key infrastructure framework bidding.
Requirements:
- Educated to degree level or equivalent in an appropriate subject
- Minimum of 3 years bid writing experience within construction, civil engineering or infrastructure
- Knowledge and understanding of framework tenders, proposals and bid writing
- Able to develop relationships with technical department leads
- Capable of accurately presenting a framework bid, with key consideration for technical, commercial, planning and resource functions
The role:
- Developing bid documentation for a number of infrastructure frameworks
- Managing workload in line with meeting key deadlines
- Arranging pre-construction bid meeting with heads of commercial, engineering/technical, planning and resource
- Excellent interpretation of technical requirements in relation to civil engineering works
- Confidently creating tender and bid documentation in preparation for submission to the client
