The client
A regional new build high rise developer are currently recruiting for either a Project or Senior Quantity Surveyor. The chosen surveyor will be required to work on a new build high rise job just outside Manchester city centre. An award winning client who specialise in building large residential, student, retail and commercial accommodation apartments. A great opportunity to join an existing highly skilled team of surveyors.
The company are one of the regions leading developers producing high rise developments in the North West region. This developer have an excellent reputation for high-quality project delivery, having delivered many of Manchester & Salfords high rise developments shaping the Manchester skyline.

About the Role:
The Assistant Quantity Surveyor will assist a Lead Quantity Surveyor in delivering a new build high rise apartment block project in the Salford area. Reporting into the Commercial, you will be involved in projects from inception through to completion / final account. Working closely with the commercial and delivery teams, you will play a key role in ensuring the project is delivered within the commercial targets set.

Candidate requirements
• A minimum of 2 years working experience in an Assistant Quantity Surveying role
• A degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, HNC / HND or equivalent is desirable.
• Good working knowledge of MS Office -
• New build high rise project experience - desirable
• Build project experience - essential
• Strong numeracy and financial management skills and the ability to learn construction management IT packages.
• Commercially astute with the ability to spot opportunity
• Tier1 or Tier2 contracting background
• A practical, logical and methodical approach to thinking and problem solving.

Remuneration
• £20,000 - 35,000 per annum
