ASSISTANT SITE MANAGER
Location: Salford, Manchester
Type: Permanent
Salary: £35-£40k per annum plus car allowance

Job Overview:
A regional contractor is seeking an experienced and confident Assistant Site Manager to work closely with the Site manager on a social housing project in Salford (£3.3m). This is a challenging site that requires a driven individual who wishes to become a Site manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Site Manager in ensuring that the site is running smoothly. The apartments are being built on two brownfield sites.

Responsibilities:
• Assist the Site Manager in ensuring that the site is running smoothly and to schedule
• Monitor and manage subcontractors and site operatives to ensure that work is completed to a high standard.
• Assist in the preparation of the site programme, ensuring that deadlines are met.
• Attend and participate in site meetings, ensuring that all relevant information is communicated to the Site Manager
• Ensure that all health and safety procedures are adhered to on site.
• Maintain accurate site records and documentation.
Requirements:
• Relevant experience with social housing
• Knowledge of the construction industry and site management processes
• Experience in logistically challenging social housing project
• Strong leadership and decision-making skills
• Ability to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines
• Full UK driving licence

This role would be a development based contract with the opportunity for progression to Site Manager role on a future site upon completion of the development.
