Client
You will join a new build social housing developer based within Lancashire who operate across the Northwest. They are a developer with an excellent reputation who have established themselves well in the social housing sector. They have a healthy pipeline of schemes on site and sites due to start in the coming months. Due to the number of active sites and future work they require an additional assistant QS to join their team. They would consider an assistant or intermediate QS who has new build housing / social housing experience.
Duties
You will report to their commercial director and be based from their head office in Manchester, just outside the city centre. You will be trained by a highly skilled Commercial Manager.
You will prepare bills of quantities, issue subcontractor tender enquires, attend site meetings, produce site measurements, CVRS and produce final accounts. Dependent on experience you will help to manage a variety of sites and work alongside their site management teams.

Day to day cost control and cashflow forecasting Maintaining and developing professional relationships
Interim valuations and final accounts
Managing cash flows / budgets and all financial information as per the companies policies and processes.
The candidate
You will be a qualified assistant or intermediate level quantity surveyor.
New build housing experience is essential (social or open market).
The business is looking for an ambitious, hardworking assistant / intermediate quantity surveyor.
Preparing and agreeing monthly interim valuations and final accounts
Driving license - essential
Quantity Surveying or similar Degree - Preferable but not essential
In-depth knowledge of the construction industry
Strong personal organisational skills
Ability to work alone but also as part of a team within a growing business

Up to £27,000 plus full package

Holidays Based office based (Manchester) / site based (North West) and one day working from home (depending on workload and meetings) a week
