Anderselite client, a long established and highly successful civil engineering contractor specialising in railway engineering is seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to work on a variety of exciting projects within the company’s Building frameworks in Yorkshire.

Main Duties:
• Prepare estimates using a schedule of rates & assist with tenders
• Price variations/technical queries to contracted works
• Liaise with delivery team regarding works executed
• Analyse cost reports
• Assist in producing final accounts & negotiate/agree final accounts with Client
• Compile cost-value reconciliations
• Submit periodic valuations & periodic applications for payment
• Assess subcontractor claims
• Attend site to take measurements & attend progress meetings
• Contribute to monthly commercial meetings
• Assist with change control process and help produce commercial reports for the Board of Directors
• Work with the supply chain for procurement of suppliers and subcontractors
• Comply with and promote the company safety policy
• Any other duties as may reasonably be required

Qualifications:
• HND / HNC
• Degree (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying – Desirable
• MS Office – Essential
