Assistant Quantity Surveyor required for well known a Tier 1 developer who have been established in and around London for many years. In the marketplace they have one of the best names in the construction industry.
They have a fantastic reputation as a responsible and professional high-end developer with large scope for progression.

This is an amazing opportunity for a good Trainee Quantity Surveyor or Assistant Manager to join commercial team and work on fantastic projects.
The successful candidate will be working closely with Managing Quantity Surveyor and Senior Quantity Surveyor to facilitate the cost-effective delivery and completion of developments.

Key Responsibilities

• Administration of the project
• Preparing trade scope and works
• Preparing selected tender list for approval
• Collation and issue of subcontract tenders
• Prepare subcontractors appointment and proposal documents
• Holding and taking minutes of Subcontract Post-Tender and Pre-Order Meetings.
• Preparing subcontract documentation for signing by both parties in accordance with BH’s Call Off Contract procedure.
• Certifying subcontractor payments
• Assessing variations with subcontractor
• Producing subcontractor instruction/variation reports
• Preparing final account with subcontractors
• Assisting with Surveyors’ monthly cost reports
• Attending Design Team Meetings as required
• Attending subcontractor progress meetings as required
• Assisting in production of contractual letters to subcontractors when requested
• Assisting Project team with financial implications of site progress decisions
• Scheduling of directly procured materials to assist buying department
• Measurement of elements incorporated into designs to establish value and extent of works
• Assist Commercial department with compliance to business core objectives
• Procurement experience not essential


Experience, Qualifications, and skills

• Experience of working as a Trainee Quantity Surveyor or Assistant Quantity Surveyor
• Quantity Surveyor related degree or HND/HNC Building Studies
• Good administration skills
• GCSE Grade C/4+ or equivalent in English and Maths
• Strong communication and listening skills, with good negotiation skills
• Highly motivated to deliver quality developments
• Ability to work on own as well as part of a team
• Excellent attention to detail and demonstrates ability to meet deadlines
• IT literate and the ability to adapt to new systems
• Committed to diversity and inclusion

Salary

• up to £47.500 (depending on experience)
