Anderselite are currently seeking an Architectural Technician/ Technologist candidate for an Architectural Studio based in the Gloucestershire area. The ideal candidate should have a couple of years minimum understanding of the industry with a sound knowledge of the technical system, house building experience and techniques, legislation (including Building Regulations) and competent CAD skills. The main duties will include;

Preparing general architectural design, planning and technical drawings to aid and support the Company.
Preparing and managing planning design packages from feasibility to detailed submission stage and where appropriate supporting in the preparation of design and construction detailing appropriate to the project brief.
Employees will be expected to positively contribute to coordination of projects where necessary and requested to do so.
Interacting with all internal and external team members is encouraged and employees are expected to offer support and advice when requested.
The ability to work independently and work as part of a design team where necessary.
A clear understanding of Planning Legislation and an understanding of The Building Regulations/NHBC standards is essential and employees should continually keep themselves up to date with changing legislation and standards.
Employees should be aware of design standards affecting the industry and should ensure they maintain a working knowledge of Accessibility Standards, Housing Quality Indicators (HQI) and any other associated design standards
Maintain a high proficiency in Computer Aided Design skills and keep up to date with changing software updates.
Maintain a good level of planning legislation and technical knowledge to allow you to carry out your duties.
Specific training and CPD events are available and will be encouraged to allow employees to maintain and improve their knowledge in these and other associated areas.
