They are currently looking for an Architectural Designer to join the Central Design team based in Buckinghamshire. Reporting to the Architectural Design Manager, you will work alongside external consultants, building control bodies and suppliers to ensure delivery of a full tender package of working drawings in line with standards and values.
Your main responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
 Preparation of general arrangement layouts, sections, elevations, bespoke detailing, site
layouts, external works layouts, electrical plans, bathroom layouts, brochure layouts,
conveyance plans etc to construction details and specification.
 The preparation of all necessary details, schedules and specifications in line with current
legislation to compliment the working drawing package.
 Liaising with, and support of, other departments in providing technical information and
assisting with technical issues relating to regulations and the product
 To visit development sites to assess the packages which have been prepared to enable future
packages to be improved.
 Keep up to date with any future changes in Building Regulations that may impact the
product, by proactively researching for information to fully understand internal and external
customer needs
 Responsible for attending and chairing project team meetings and ensuring all consultants
are working to key deadlines in line with standards. Direct liaison with NHBC Building
Control Department to clear conditions.
A background in the Architectural Design provision, whether that be through a HNC/HND or Architectural related degree is essential. They are seeking to recruit someone who is eager to learn, can work under pressure to meet deadlines and who has a passion for Architectural technology and sustainability. Excellent knowledge of AutoCAD Architecture skills are essential, and Revit knowledge would be advantageous. Previous experience with a national housebuilder is highly advantageous.
