Fantastic opportunity for a Qualifed RIBA Architect or Design Manager to work for an innovative design and construction solution client who work within the high technology industry.

The projects the company undertakes are centered around a process within a controlled environment. They have the full turnkey capability to be able to provide a complete range of design and construction capabilities to deliver fast track projects against tight financial budgets in an open and transparent manner working in full collaboration with clients.

Their people have many years of experience in delivery of leading edge, high technology projects. Together they have worked with many of the leading, blue chip, pharmaceutical and microelectronic companies across the globe to deliver innovative and successful projects.

 

The role requires someone to lead and assist the architectural design on projects and proposals and the job role involves providing competent architectural services, working as part of the design team on particular projects, and when requested take the lead on projects or parts of projects. You would also need to carry out architectural design activities using prevailing best practice techniques and tools, and ensuring compliance with Company Quality Procedures, requirements of the relevant contract and any other appropriate standards, guidance and good practice.

Technical Competencies (e.g. skills and knowledge required) include: 1. Hold Chartered or Registered Architect status, and maintain this professional status 2. Maintain adequate Continuing Professional Development related to professional status and to ensure familiarity and competence with all areas relevant to the operations of the Company, including: architectural strategies, directions, techniques, systems, equipment, innovations, requirements and including current best practice in health, safety and environmental matters. 3. Be commercially aware and work with the project team to deliver the project within the project budget or as extended by client instructions 4. Knowledge & appreciation of working with BIM/CAD design tools 5. Good knowledge & skills with NBS specification software 6. Good knowledge of construction techniques and products 7. Experience and ability to interface with multi-disciplinary team and integrate design work 8. When leading projects be able to take responsibility for overall design leadership of other design disciplines Person Specification (including Education, Qualifications, Professional Memberships and Relevant Work Experience): • Must be UK registered architect. Preferably also holding Chartered Architect status. • Minimum of 10 years relevant practice In return you will be given an excellent working environment, remuneration and benefits package along with development and training opportunities.

The ideal candidate will as be able to produce architectural documentation / process design / run projects at an Architectural level and have Industrial Building experience and any experience in other complex project sectors such as Pharmaceutical, Hospitals, Manufacturing, Process, Hospitals, Waste and Energy would also be advantageous. 

You will ideally have worked on projects of £10m + and that you are able to provide evidence and demonstrate that you have been the project architect for a significant portion of the project. The ideal candidate may only have 6 projects on their CV if they have been involved in them in depth.

You must have a very good level of Revit Software for this role, please do not apply if you dont have this.  

This is a mostly remote position, however, you will need to be available to work with the Design team on site and to go to the office in the Wiltshire location from time to time.
