Weighbridge Operator    
Stockport – SK17 postcode area   
3 month initial month contract (possibility of extension)
Start date – ASAP  
£11 per hour PAYE
7am to 4pm Monday to Friday

New opportunity for a Permit Administrator to join a large, well respected construction and building materials company on a temporary contract position. You will be responsible to ensure safe operations within the weighbridge area of responsibility and legal compliance in weighbridge operations.

We are looking for someone with a background in construction/civils/logistics etc. Knowledge of Weighbridge operations would be highly beneficial. You must possess a great attitude towards work with a flexible approach, be proficient with MS package and have strong communication skills.

Key responsibilities:

  • Dispatch of outgoing products, weighing of delivery vehicles and issue of delivery documentation.
  • Operation of weighbridges and systems
  • Ensure drivers entering site and qualified and equipped to do so and are aware of company rules
  • Ensure housekeeping standards are maintained within weighbridge & around weighbridge area
  • Ensure weighbridge operations meet Trading Standards requirements relating to the Weights and Measures Act
  • Work in a safe manner, adhering to health and safety standards taking responsibility for the Near Hit process
  • Ensure work carried out is to the highest level of accuracy.
  • To support in SOP’s and recognise where new ones are needed
  • Report any issues that need escalation
  • Support CRH vehicle check compliance and monthly target is achieved
  • Complete weekly housekeeping checks via iAuditor of areas of ownership
  • Support rail administration process
  • Undertake other reasonable requests / duties depending upon Individual capability and competences
  • Be prepared to work locally at other Buxton site if the need arises in a similar capacity

Start date – ASAP
End date – 3 months from start date – possibility of extension but this cannot be guaranteed.
