Technical Manager required for a Tier 1 developer who have been established in and around London for 20 years. In the marketplace they have one of the best names in the industry.

The Technical Manager is responsible for ensuring the project information is available to the production team and other departments in line with the project programme. They will liaise with, advise other departments on technical matters, and provide back-up support and information flow.

Required Skills
• Great understanding of Technical Drawings.
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
• Good technical knowledge of both residential and commercial construction together with a degree of flair for design.

• Ability to co-ordinate and manage consultants and contractors.
• Ability to multi-task whilst under pressure to meet deadlines.

• Proactive approach and willingness to take on new tasks.

Key Responsibilities
• Oversee the preparation of the optimisation process through to sign off.
• Attend site progress meeting and carry out site inspections.
• General liaison and coordination between other parties, both internal and external.
• Brief, manage and drive the external consultants in the preparation and issue of production information to an agreed programme.
• Prepare technical specifications in line with requirements determined by the Land Acquisition budget and Technical/Sales Meetings.
• Ensure all statutory enquiries, crossovers, sewer connections are submitted and pursued for their timely return.
• Oversee the NHBC/Building Regulations applications to approval.
• Ensure that working drawings are in accordance with the approved Planning Scheme.
• Preparation of Health & Safety Plans.
• Monitor and control all production information in close liaison with the Development Estimator to ensure tight cost controls are kept and information produced in line with budget estimates.
• Oversee preparation of Brochure Plans, Conveyance Plans and Sales Area drawings.
• Attend meetings at various stages of projects.
• Attend Subcontractor interviews.
• Respond to site queries and resolve Technical/Construction items that may arise.

Qualifications:
• RIBA Part 1
• Design Background desirable

Previous experience of working as a Technical Manager is vital, preferably for a main residential developer.
