Agent/Manager Required - Start October/November 2017 (ASAP) - On going work (18 months +) West Midlands Area (South Birmingham) - Rates Negotiable - £250.00 to £300.00 Per Day (negotiable on experience)

Our client, a large national Civil Engineering contractor, is looking for a Sub Agent/Site Agent/Site Manager to work as part of their Water/Waste team, within the Midlands area, on a freelance basis. In this role, you will be required to work on water projects within the Severn Trent network, with the support of an offsite Senior Agent/Project Manager. As such, we are looking for candidates that are confident and comfortable to manage such projects.

Initially, you will be working on a project that is nearing completion, to learn the companies processes and procedures, before moving onto a new project, which you will work on for the duration of the scheme (circa 12 months).

Whilst the project noted above is within the water sector, this particularly scheme will be heavily groundworks led, so we are ideally looking for someone who has strong groundworks and general civils experience. On top of this, the project above will include a lot of complex temporary works as well as AP Lifting, so candidates who have strong experience of temporary works or Lifting Ops (Appointed Person) will be ideal.

Candidate will ideally:

  • Have previous experience working on similar projects within the water industry.
  • Have a strong knowledge of general civils and groundworks.
  • Be committed to working on a project form inception through to completion/handover.
  • Hold a valid CSCS Card.
  • Hold a valid SMSTS Certificate.
  • Hold a valid First Aid Certificate.
  • Hold a valid Temporary Works Certificate.
  • Hold a valid Lifting Ops or Appointed Person Qualification (ideally CPCS).
