Location: West Midlands & Warwickshire (N1, N2)
Start Date: Mid October 2020

Job Type: Contract Role (Permanent roles are considered)
Salary: £220.00 to £270.00 Per Day (Rate can be negotiated based on experience and qualifications)

Our client, a growing Ecology and Civil Engineering Subcontractor, is currently looking for multiple contract Site Supervisors to help deliver key HS2 Enabling Works across the N1 and N2 HS2 regions, working collaboratively with the main JV Contractor, to ensure all workload is completed in a timely manner, within HSQE guidelines.

In this role, you will work alongside various members of the HS2 team, including the main contractor and other subcontractors, supervising workload on site, manging operatives and subcontractor staff, to ensure all work is being completed in a safe manner and to HSQE guidelines. You will be responsible for ensuring each site is kept tidy at all times and that work access areas are clear, when work is not taking place, ensuring that all work abides to guidelines set by HS2.

Workload will typically include, but is not limited to:

  • Supervising Civil Engineering, Earthworks and Ecology works for HS2.
  • Assisting the main JV contractor with enabling works, including compound setup and fencing installations.
  • Creating Eco ponds as required and migrating wildlife habitats.
  • Tree felling, de-vegetation and replanting works, as required.
  • Groundworks and installation of various culverts, as required.

Candidates will ideally have:

  • Previous experience working on large Civil Engineering or Infrastructure projects (Prior HS2 experience is ideal).
  • Proven experience supervising workload and motivating staff to complete work as required.
  • The motivation to make HS2 a safe, clean and efficient market leading project.
  • A valid SMSTS or SSSTS certificate (both accepted/reflect pay rate).
  • A valid CSCS or CPCS Card.
  • Any additional qualifications such as First Aid, Confined Spaces, Manual Handling etc are ideal.
