Site Manager Required - Start Early July 2018 - 3 Month Rolling Contract - Water Sector - Leicestershire Area - Rates Negotiable: Circa £240.00 to £300.00 Per Day (Rates are negotiable on relevant experience)

Our client, a large national Civil Engineering contractor, operating within the East Midlands area, is looking for a Site Manager to work within their Water team, who can deliver a Dirty Water Project (Activated Sludge Plant) and Sewage Treatment Infrastructure in the Leicestershire area. In this role, you will manage a scheme circa £12M to £15M in value, which will include the delivery of waste water / sewage projects & infrastructure, with the support of an offsite Project Manager. As such, we are looking for candidates that are confident and comfortable to manage such projects. Whilst this project is within the waste water sector, this particularly scheme will require a variety of infrastructure and civil engineering work and we are therefore ideally looking for someone who has worked within the Waste Water (Sewage) or Clean Water sectors and Civil Engineer/Infrastructure in general. Candidates who have completed projects such as ASP (Activated Sludge Plants) would be of great interest.

Daily duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Managing the project on a daily basis.
  • Accountable for HSQE and implementing control procedures.
  • Completing tool box talks, inductions and ordering of materials.
  • Supplier and subcontractor management.
  • Complete risk assessments, method statements, daily/weekly dairies.
  • Working with internal design, commercial, planning teams to drive projects forward.
  • Attending/Chairing site and client meetings, delivering progress reports.
  • Report to an offsite Project Manager for support if and when required.

Candidate will ideally:

  • Have previous experience working on similar projects within the Water/Waste industry.
  • Have a strong knowledge of water, general civils and groundworks.
  • Hold a valid CSCS Card.
  • Hold a valid SMSTS Certificate.
  • Hold additional qualifications including First Aid, Temporary Works (ideal, not required)
