Pay Rate:           £250 - £270 Per Day (Negotiable based on level of experience)

Our client, a large Tier 1 Construction Contractor is currently recruiting a Site Manager in Burton-on-Trent, to deliver extensions works on an existing food / industrial (live environment) project, able to offer a 6 to 9 month contract.

The role will entail working with the Project Manager, to ensure the timely delivery of works vs programme within a live environment, therefore a strong knowledge of Health and Safety is key to this role.

Daily duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Manage the construction site with the Project Manager, ensuring that work is completed safely, on time, and within budget.
  • Managing on-site personnel, including subcontractors, suppliers, and construction workers.
  • Monitor project progress and provide regular reports to senior management.
  • Ensure that the project is delivered to the highest possible standard and meets all regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with HSQE regulations.
  • Completing inductions and toolbox talks.
  • Proactivity in identifying and resolving on site issues before they become apparent.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients, stakeholders, and local authorities.
  • Support and development of junior members of staff.

Candidates will ideally have:

  • Previous experience delivering large extension construction projects, ideally within the Food & Beverage or Industrial sectors. (Experience working on live environment projects preferred).
  • A valid CSCS Card.
  • A valid SMSTS Certificate.
  • A valid First Aid Certificate.
  • A working knowledge of Temporary Works (Any Temporary Works qualifications are desirable).
