Our client, a specialist Rail & Civil Engineering Contractor, is currently looking for Site Agent (CRE) to join their team on a permanent basis, overseeing Station Building & Civils Asset Maintenance works.
This role will entail delivering projects on the Asset Management Framework, ensuring the successful delivery of works on multiple projects, up to the value of £2Million per project.
As Site Agent / CRE, you will oversee the daily management of projects, responsible for project delivery with industry standard, regulations and within contract conditions.
Daily duties will include but are not limited to:
- Ensuring successful delivery of works including programme, HSQE, commercial and reporting etc.
- Completing works to required quality standard and within contract stipulations.
- Internal staff and External subcontractor management.
- Monitoring of progress vs programme.
- Liaising with Contracts Manager and Commercial staff regarding workload/changes/progress.
Successfully candidates will ideally:
- Hold a relevant qualification in Civil Engineering or Construction, or similar (Such as a Degree/HNC).
- Be approved as CRE (Contractors Responsible Engineer).
- Have previously worked as a Site Agent on Rail Asset Maintenance projects such as Stations, as well as rail civils, such as bridges, embankments, platforms, tunnels, structural steel installations etc.
- Ensure self-delivered works are completed as well as managing subcontractors.
- Have experience delivering multiple projects for a contractor, typically valued between £500K - £2Million, including but not limited to:
- Groundworks, embankments, structures and structural steel, rail bridges, tunnels, stations and platforms etc.
- Relevant qualifications including SMSTS and CSCS Card. Additional qualifications advantageous.
- Commercial and programme understanding, including Strong knowledge of HSQE regulations.
