Fantastic opportunity to work alongside the Planning Director and his team for an independent housebuilder who has an excellent reputation for delivering exclusive developments in some of the most sought-after areas of the South West of England and Wales.

Their reputation for design, quality of construction and exceptional standards is what sets them apart.

Their current development opportunities range from small infill schemes for 20 houses to large 300 home schemes and strategic sites for many hundred homes. They were also ranked at number seven in the Fast Growth 50 guide achieved turnover of £40 million in the year ending April 2019 and have plans to increase turnover to £60 million per annum this financial year.


Key Responsibilities and skills required;
* A minimum of five years' experience in designing residential layouts of varying sizes.
* You will be responsible for producing high-quality, pragmatic and viable feasibility studies and
detailed housing layouts for schemes from 24 to circa 300 homes that promote our commitment to
place making and the environment.
* Through the design and planning stages you will work with the design team, local planning authority and local people and community groups to understand their needs and interests, policy
requirements and site constraints to ensure they enrich the landscape and communities in which their homes will become a part.
* You should have a passionate and innovative approach to design and place making and an interest in the built environment.
* The ability to analyse a site and to establish the constraints and opportunities in order to input into the design and access statements.
* You will need strong freehand or CAD skills as part of your ability to communicate your design
concept.
* You will need an In-depth knowledge of residential layout design, place making, planning policy and
supplementary planning guidance and local planning authority design standards in relation to
residential layout and design.
