Senior Quantity Surveyor
Region - Scotland

Job Summary: Working within the Electricity Transmission and Distribution Sector. Lead a team of Quantity Surveyors to maximize our margins, reduce cost going out the business and increase timely cash collection into the business.
To lead all process required to safely deliver our works whilst maintaining compliance to company procedures and policies.
To ensure the commercial team members are supported, encouraged and receive the necessary training or coaching to develop.

Responsibilities: Ensuring budget and tender data from successful tenders into the company accounting and reporting system.
Within the project teams to ensure projects are set up on the company accounting system with a suitable work breakdown structure in line with OPSTAT guidelines.
Within the Commercial Department and Project Teams with the preparation of the monthly project reports from the Company accounting or reporting system.
Preparation of the monthly Applications and Invoicing to ensure submission in a timely manner of an accurate document aimed at maximising the company's financial position.
Notifying your client early of any increased project value or delay to project completions.
Collection of cash and pursuit of certificated from clients in a timely manner, to - Senior Quan maximise the company's cash flow position.
Inputting Applications and invoices onto the company accounts system including payment certificates.
Accuracy in producing accurate cash flow forecasts weekly.
Raising PO requisitions, GRN and Off Hiring of plant equipment on the company accounting system in order to ensure accurate cost information on projects.
Inputting Sub-Contractor Certificates on the company accounting system and ensuring the accuracy of information being recorded.
Ensuring Sub-Contractors are administered correctly and to the benefit of the company at all times including the placing of the most relevant Contract terms.
Identifying and recording change control opportunities together with inputting change control items of the company accounting system.
Provision of and copying substantiation for project change and or costs.
Accuracy and timely manner with administration of the Company accounting and reporting system.

Personal Qualities and Experience:
Energetic, positive person with a wish to solve problems and comply with procedures.
A commercial diploma or degree is preferable.
Ability to generate, develop and manage Professional services arrangements, Sub-Contractors agreements and obligations.
Full driving licence.
