About the Company:
Our client is a leading water civils contractor with a strong presence in the industry. They are currently seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor (SQS) to join their team and work on a major project with a significant financial scope.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor in this role, you will be responsible for the following:

Project Cost Management: Monitor and manage project costs throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring accurate budgeting, cost forecasting, and control.
Contracts Management: Administer NEC contracts, ensuring compliance and efficient contract management.
Value Engineering: Identify opportunities for cost savings and value engineering in project execution.
Claims Management: Handle claims and disputes efficiently and work towards resolution.
Budget Forecasting: Develop and maintain accurate financial forecasts for the project.
Stakeholder Communication: Collaborate with various stakeholders, including project managers, contractors, and clients, to ensure smooth project delivery.
Change Management: Handle changes in project scope and assess their impact on costs and schedules.
Project Reporting: Prepare regular project reports and financial updates for management.
Qualifications and Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you should have the following qualifications and experience:

Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in major projects within the water utilities sector.
Sound knowledge and experience with NEC (New Engineering Contract) forms of contract.
Strong financial and analytical skills.
Experience in managing project budgets in excess of £20 million.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
A degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
