Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor

Anderselite are currently recruiting for a Senior Quantity Surveyor, on behalf of a tier one contractor, in Peterborough. You will be joining a team that concentrates on solutions across the water recycling and clean water asset base, typically totalling £50-60m per year. Primarily delivering smaller replacement and refurbishment projects on above-ground mechanical and electrical assets, refurbishment and replacement of key infrastructure pipelines and buildings, and improvements to existing assets and systems, extending their shelf life and performance. This is on behalf of Anglian Water.

What you will be doing?
• Ensure the embedded partners is provided with accurate cost and value reporting and
forecasting to mitigate adverse financial impacts
• Ensure effective cost capture ensuring all costs are allocated appropriately.
• Lead the identification of cost reduction opportunities and provide support to help
stakeholders realise them
• Provide commercial support to stakeholders including ensuring alliance members’
internal reporting needs are satisfied
• Ensure compliance with agreed commercial processes and procedures
• Create a culture of collaborative working both within the embedded partners and with
other AW alliances

• Thorough understanding of NEC3 forms of contract
• Thorough understanding of relevant construction and contract law
• Must have expert commercial acumen
• Managing teams across a matrix environment
• Acts in a truly collaborative fashion and inspires others to do the same
• Proactive management of the allocated programme area and prompt escalate issues
as necessary
• Demonstrate resilience if there are setbacks
