Senior Quantity Surveyor – Warrington Office – Residential/New Build – Up to £57,000 plus package

The Client
A dynamic, growing, award winning developer have a role for a Quantity Surveyor! This market leading developer is looking to strengthen their commercial team. The chosen Quantity Surveyor will be required to work on development projects across the North-West, North Wales and Manchester region. The office is based in Warrington. This is an amazing opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to join this award winning, national house builder and is after the opportunity to work on some challenging projects. They have a fantastic reputation as a responsible and professional high-end developer with large scope for progression. The successful candidate will help to manage projects from inception to completion and be experienced in the preparation of schedules of work/bill of quantities, NBS specifications, preliminaries, contract conditions, employers’ requirements, cost plans and estimates.

Duties
• Managing cash flows / budgets and all financial information as per the companies’ policies and processes.
• Ensuring group policies and processes are followed and reported fully on all build-related expenditure.
• Management of the working partnerships with Housing Associations, third party providers and sub-contractors to ensure that all contractual terms are met and ensure that all orders are placed
• Collaborate with departments across the business to improve cost effectiveness and ensure timely delivery of projects whilst providing cost advice on any aspect of the build as and when required.
• A key part of determining and agreeing site start programmes and timescales.
• Authorising and committing expenditure on the internal COINS ERP system
• Monitor, reconcile and recharge any costs which relate to shared cost items with other internal teams and offices as well as external companies.
• Producing key status reports and updates on all KPIs relating to the Commercial function.
• Interim valuations and final accounts
• Liaising with clients

• Producing a monthly cost summary for each site, reconciling against the Company Cost File
• Applications/ valuations
• Identifying, pricing and agreeing variations in a timely manner

Candidate
• You must be able to demonstrate a successful track record in the field of Quantity Surveying, ideally within house building
• As this is a Senior role you must have a minimum 5 years’ experience. You may have either House Building or Main contracting experience.
• BSc in Quantity Surveying is ideal, a HNC / HND is essential or a similar in a commercial related course is essential.
• Previous recent experience running multi-unit residential schemes
• Driver’s licence is essential.
