Job description

The Company

Senior Planner required for a construction company who have strong reputation for delivery. They work across education, leisure, health, commercial and housing sectors. Current project portfolio includes a number of prestigious high rise projects. Due to new work wins they are now looking for Senior Planner join their successful planning team. This role can be based out of Liverpool or Manchester.

The Role

To develop, manage and maintain project schedules and associated breakdown structures

Develop the process and framework used to define, maintain, report and control schedules, identify interfaces, promote and monitor milestone definition sheets, establish baselines, code and resource schedules.

Ensure consistent application, effective and timely delivery of time management

Work in accordance with Risk Managers, project teams and cost managers to integrate time and cost through cost and resource loaded schedules

Carry out critical path and earned value analysis producing reports where appropriate

Work with Risk and Cost teams to develop summary schedules

Provide presentations, coaching and facilitation in the use of planning software

Produce progress reports showing variance against the baselines.

Provide guidance and undertake earned value analysis to inform proactive decision making and risk mitigation

Complete and close out schedule activities to capture as built data for time and cost benchmarking

About You

Ideally hold a Construction bias or Civil Engineering degree or equivalent

Proven experience in mentoring junior planners

Have an In-depth and broad understanding of planning as applied in major construction environments

Detailed experience of Critical Path Analysis

Expert knowledge of Primavera software and experience of MS Project;

Experience operating within a complex project controls environment.
