Senior Planner required for a very well-regarded regional contractor operating across the infrastructure sector. There is a strong team ethic within the business meaning a well-motivated work force and a very low staff turnover. They are now looking for a Senior Planner to join their Civil engineering Planning team working on landmark highways projects based in the North West.

The Role

To develop, manage and maintain project schedules, tenders and associated breakdown structures.
Provide Planning expertise on civils projects including, highways, drainage and other civils schemes.
Develop the process and framework used to define, maintain, report and control schedules, identify interfaces, promote and monitor milestone definition sheets, establish baselines, code and resource schedules.
Ensure consistent application, effective and timely delivery of time management
Carry out critical path and earned value analysis producing reports where appropriate.
Work with Risk and Cost teams to develop summary schedules
Provide presentations, coaching and facilitation in the use of planning software
Provide guidance and undertake earned value analysis to inform proactive decision making and risk mitigation
Complete and close out schedule activities to capture as built data for time and cost benchmarking

About you

Have an In-depth and broad understanding of planning as applied in major civil environments
Detailed experience of Critical Path Analysis.
Expert knowledge of Primavera, P6 and MS Project
Experience operating on complex services
Proven experience in mentoring junior planners
