Senior M&E Process Engineer up to £55'000 per annum

Working closely with a tier one contractor, I am currently recruiting for a Senior M&E Process Engineer with water and waste water experience. Function effectively within a multi-disciplinary engineering project team to ensure delivery of a process solution that meets the required outcomes and budget. During the lifecycle of a project the Senior Process Engineer could be involved in construction, delivery or the winning of work.

Role

Function effectively within a multi-disciplinary engineering project team to ensure delivery of a process solution that meets the required outcomes and budget. During the lifecycle of a project the Senior Process Engineer could be involved in any one or more of the following stages:

  1. Work Winning. Investigate process options that will meet the project requirements. Challenge project requirements where applicable.
  2. Delivery. Finalise detailed design deliverables required for construction, commissioning and testing.
  3. Construction / Commissioning / Testing. Provide technical support to the construction team and liaise with the site process commissioning engineer.

Essential Skills

  1. Detailed process knowledge of waste water and sludge in the UK Water Sector.
  2. Technical leadership / mentoring.
  3. Good time management / prioritisation.
  4. Ability to author and check process deliverables: design basis; process flow diagram; mass-energy balance; calculations; P&IDs; process description; control philosophy; hydraulics.
  5. Chartered status, or equivalent, with a commitment to CPD.
  6. Designing for safety.
  7. Ensuring compliance with governance gateways.

Working Relations

Supported by the Technical Lead on professional matters and the Design Manager on project-related matters. Provide support to less experienced Process Engineers

Key Responsibilities

Action, understand and challenge relevant Client documents such as: Employers Works Information; Asset Standards; Engineering Specifications.

Work within the relevant Regulations, Project Delivery System and Quality Procedures. Ensure that deliverables have been checked and reviewed prior to external issue. Record design changes, decisions, risks and opportunities through the lifecycle of the project.

Familiarisation with key commercial and technical requirements in the framework agreement

Appropriate escalation of matters to the Technical Lead where necessary.

Clean water experience

NEC3 awareness

ADMS software experience / training.

Biowin software experience / training

HADES software experience / training

DSEAR competency.

HAZOP team member training / experience.

CDM training / awareness.

Intermediate to Advanced level of experience with MS Office suite of applications.

CSCS card holder.
