On behalf of our client, the worlds leading Tier 1 construction and infrastructure company, Anderselite are seeking a Senior Highways Engineer to join their growing team working on multi-million pound schemes for Highways England.

Location: Manchester
Start date: ASAP
End date: long, ongoing contract with a possibility to go permanent
Rate of pay: £30 - £35 FCSA UMBRELLA
Working hours: 40 hrs a week

Description of role:

•Contribute to the successful delivery of the programme of work by producing and developing sound and innovative design solutions to meet client requirements within budget and timescale, following Kier processes and procedures as well as any Client specific requirements.
•Developing and designing solutions in accordance to National design standards, procedures and requirements and any specific parameters.
•Production of accurate and concise scheme documents and reports.
•Contribute to compliance with the Quality Management Systems including site specific audits.
•Production of designs that comply with relevant health and safety legislation, particularly the CDM Regulations.
•Actively promote Health and Safety in the workplace, setting a good example to other employees and ensuring awareness of and compliance with general Health and Safety responsibilities as set out in the Health and Safety Management System.
•Contribute to the monthly reporting of progress to clients including review of completion against planned programme
•Assist in the development of colleagues.
•Perform other duties as may from time to time be reasonably required

About You:
Knowledge of engineering design, related legislation etc etc
Understanding of Highway/ Engineering Design and design standards
Degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent)
Proven technical experience of most aspects of major highway schemes.
Working knowledge of H&S legislation
