Senior Engineer - Major steel experience for £200m London commercial project.

To strengthen our team we are looking to add a Senior Engineer to manage all aspects of steel package, design development, on-site engineering, temporary works, structural safety (during pre-construction and construction phases) and to promote and encourage the development of the engineering staff who report to you.



This is a key role working within a team environment to ensure all engineering matters are managed on time and within budget, with attention to safety and quality, whilst enhancing our reputation with external clients and work colleagues.



You Will:

Develop and manage the projects temporary works schedule associated with the steelwork package.
Oversee the management of the sites temporary works activities e.g. ensuring design compliance, RAMS, installation, inspections, loading and unloading.
Be responsible for reporting of all the site operations to the senior project management
Attend design and progress meetings
Contribute to the site engineering team and ensure compliance with company's procedures and project specifications


We're Looking For:

Relevant engineering qualifications and have attained, or working towards becoming CEng or IEng qualified
Thorough understanding of all aspects of site engineering from tendering to handover of Building projects within Commercial and/or Mixed-Use sectors..
Knowledge and experience of the steelwork package design approval process.
Knowledge / experience of steel frame axial shortening, erection, monitoring and compensation measures.
Knowledge / experience of the NSSS, steelwork good practice and site steelwork inspections, snagging and handover.
Experience of quality management and non-conformance.
