My Client, a well known Engineering Consultancy, is rapidly expanding and looking for a Senior BIM Modeller to work for their Sheffield Design Hub, supporting ongoing and increasing workload for both public and private sector clients on a wide variety of development and schemes.

Current projects include:

Delivery Integrated Partner (DIP) Framework for delivering major Highway Projects – M6, J19 improvements

£500m Designers on Smart Motorway Projects - M1 corridor, M25, M42/M40

TransPennine Route upgrade – civils design

Bridge Inspections for Local Authority and Highways England schemes

Staffordshire iPlus contract – Highways and Drainage support

£30m New 5km trunk road in Manchester – Lead Designer and PM

£4m Grey to Green Phase 2 for Sheffield City Council – Lead Designer and Supervision

Highways England – Flooding hotspots and alleviation works for Areas 13 and 14

Kings Cross drainage improvement works

The Role:

Due to the increased workload, they are seeking to recruit a Senior BIM Modeller. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up projects, managing and auditing models, and coordinating with a variety of collaborators.

As a BIM Coordinator, you’ll see your work from early design to the very end result, and every project will be different from the last. You’ll feel inspired to challenge yourself, as well as your colleagues.

In a typical week you will:

Prepare and assist drawings/models for project submissions and deadlines.

Compliance with the relevant Health and Safety legislation, particularly the CDM Regulations.

Maintain a focus on timely delivery, meeting project deadlines.

Produce and revise 3D discipline CAD models using BIM software if required.

Integrate asset information with discipline models where applicable.

Use 4D and 5D processes.

Contribute to the continuous development of standard libraries and asset database.

Ensure CADQA compliance.

Meet project deadlines.

Mentor trainee CAD Technicians and BIM Modellers.

Be accountable for management and maintenance of the federated model.

Collaborate design model production and lead IDCs

I want to hear from you if you have:

EngTech Qualified

BIM Level 2 project experience

Experience of Microstation 3D, ProjectWise, AECOsim or relevant BIM software

Use ProjectWise working environments on multiple data sources

Experience in Asset tagging, BIM content development and ProjectWise management

Knowledge of BIM content standards and development procedure

Ability to lead CAD trainees, BIM Modellers and apprentices

Good communication skills dealing with Engineers, Technicians, and the wider project team, suppliers of proprietary products/equipment etc

Self-motivated individual and with good organisation and communication skills

Desire to continuously develop existing skills and acquire new technical competence to enhance team capability
