Senior/Lead Administrator - Barnsley - £28k-£30k - construction company
A fantastic opportunity to join an established, national engineering contractor as a Lead Administrator in a busy and fast paced Health & Safety team, offering longevity through secured contracts and projects.


The Role
We require an enthusiastic Lead SHEQ/Health & Safety Administrator based in our Head Office in Barnsley, supporting the wider HSQE team including senior management. You will be responsible for providing direction, drive and leadership to the SHEQ Administration team to ensure it operates efficiently to meet internal/external customer requirements, strategic needs and reporting deadlines.

Your duties and responsibilities will be varied on a day to day basis and would include but not be limited to tasks including:
Leads and coordinates day to day operations of the SHEQ administration department.
Manages, mentors and provides leadership to the SHEQ administration team, with previous recognised experience of leading and managing departmental teams.
Ensures internal and customer reporting systems are up to date with relevant information and within timescales.
Ensures SHEQ enquiries are quickly actioned and feedback provided.
Works with the SHEQ Director to ensure effective implementation of the SHEQ administration team, meeting objectives, targets and performance measures.
Delivers SHEQ corporate induction to new starters to the business.
Contributes to continuous business process improvement through the adoption of best practice.
Improves SHEQ processes to create efficiencies and simplified methods of working. E.g. Digital solutions.
Arranges meetings, conferences and roadshows.
Works with the SHEQ team and/or estimator, to support the submission tenders.
Any other authorised tasks/duties commensurate with the role.


Requirements
Advanced Knowledge of Microsoft Office packages
Previous knowledge of Digital software, application and use
Previous experience in managing teams of administrators
Ability to develop and deliver PPP presentations
Data input with analytical thinking and the ability to identify trends and inaccuracies in documentation
Experience of taking minutes in meetings
Experience in a construction or civil engineering experience may be beneficial
Able to organise and prioritise own workload and work autonomously
