Remediation Project Manager/Resident Engineer (Remediation)

Location - North West

Reporting to: Contracts Manager

Location: Site Based

Salary Package: To be discussed and based on experience

My client is a market leader in the design and implementation of ground and water remediation solutions for land restoration. Their applied technologies for contaminated soil and water treatment, together with an expert waste management capability, delivers measurable, cost and programme benefits for all their clients.

Job:

We have immediate vacancies for a Remedial Earthworks Project Managers/ Resident Engineers with previous experience with remediation and/ or earthworks contracting management. You will be an integral and leading member of our site management teams in support of our Remediation Contracting business. Your key responsibility will be the effective delivery of a wide range of remediation projects that will be principally earthworks dominated and preparing sites for future development.

Position:

For this role we are looking for experienced resident engineers with an earthworks/ geotechnical background to work on and manage land remediation projects within the Yorkshire, North East, North West or Midlands regions. They should have a proven direct experience of working on similar earthworks projects in the UK; have a consulting background and a first degree in engineering or geology. (Non-graduates are encouraged to still apply, but will need at least 15 years relevant experience.)

Primary requirements:

  • Sound communication skills (in English).
  • A detailed understanding of earthworks implementation to standard UK specifications.
  • Proven track record in remedial earthworks control and project management.
  • Management of sub-contractors.
  • Management of time and cost budgets.
  • Understanding of remedial and soil stabilisation technologies.
  • Verification and closure of remediation and earthworks projects.
  • Where required, the RE will be expected to work away from home for the duration of the project(s).
  • You may be expected to look after one large project or several smaller projects.
