This is a unique and exciting opportunity to work for a highly prestigious and sought after small construction company. Specialising in renovations and conversions, this company has an enviable reputation for the quality of its work, and the service delivery to their customers, resulting in an order book almost entirely filled by recommendation. Due to rising commitments, they now require an additional member of staff to play a pivotal role in their success and development. The role will involve full Quantity Surveying duties, from tendering, materials purchasing and final costings, but will also include an element of contracts management where required. The ideal applicant will thrive on working in a small team environment, where everyone not only takes responsibility for their own roles, but works to assist their colleagues as and when required. Recent graduates with no experience will be considered as long as a relevant construction degree is held. Otherwise you will ideally have 1-5 years experience in a surveying role. It will particularly suit someone who has an empathy and affinity with rural living, and an ability to converse and communicate well with clients at all levels. The variety and individuality of the projects require a professional with high levels of foresight, innovation and imagination, as well as being highly structured and organised. |
