Job Title : Quantity Surveyor

Location: Lancashire based office

The client

A regional housing specialist with a excellent reputation seek a Residential Quantity Surveyor to work on multiple unit traditional build large development projects across the North Area region. This established developer has been creating and designing beautiful homes for decades. The office is based in Lancashire the sites are in the North West area. This is an amazing opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to join this award winning, national house builder who is after the opportunity to work on some challenging projects. They have a fantastic reputation as a responsible and professional high end developer.

Duties

Managing cash flows / budgets and all financial information as per the companies policies and processes.
Ensuring group policies and processes are followed and reported fully on all build-related expenditure.
Management of the working partnerships with Housing Associations, third party providers and sub-contractors to ensure that all contractual terms are met and ensure that all orders are placed
Collaborate with departments across the business to improve cost effectiveness and ensure timely delivery of projects whilst providing cost advice on any aspect of the build as and when required.
A key part of determining and agreeing site start programmes and timescales.
Authorising and committing expenditure on the internal COINS ERP system
Monitor, reconcile and recharge any costs which relate to shared cost items with other internal teams and offices as well as external companies.
Producing key status reports and updates on all KPIs relating to the Commercial function.

The candidate - Essential Experience

* Experience with a spec residential developer or main building contractor

* Housing project experience

* Proven experience as a Lead Site Quantity Surveyor

* Alternatively, may suit an Assistant Quantity Surveyor looking to take a step up in their career.

* Relevant Qualifications and Site Certificates

*You must be able to demonstrate a successful track record in the field of Quantity Surveying, ideally within volume house building, however a strong background from within a contractor would also be considered

Previous recent experience running multi-unit residential schemes and drivers licence is essential.
