Quantity Surveyor

My client is a regional house builder with a reputable reputation in the region for delivering high-quality homes in the northeast region working on traditional build housing projects.

Duties

• Sub-contractor procurement
• Attending tender handover meetings, obtaining a full brief on the project
• Preparing monthly cost reports
• Assisting Senior Surveyors with materials, plant and subcontract procurement
• Dealing with subcontractors
• Assisting in the preparation and submission of interim valuations and final accounts
• Liaising with clients
• Inspecting site to maintain awareness of ongoing activities and identifying potential problems, ensuring correct records are kept and maintained on site
• Producing a monthly cost summary for each site, reconciling against the Company Cost File
• Applications/ valuations
• Identifying, pricing and agreeing variations in a timely manner

Candidate
A minimum of 2 years of work experience (on-site and in the office) as an Assistant QS or QS.
BSc in Quantity Surveying is ideal, an HNC / HND is essential or a similar in the commercial related course is essential.
Experience in housebuilding

Salary
• £45,000 - £ 55,000 (depending on experience) plus package
