Anderselite are recruiting on behalf of a tier one contractor, who are looking to strengthen their commercial team with a Quantity Surveyor in Derby. You will be providing commercial support for a project, working closely with the operational teams.


You will report directly to the Commercial Manager and the responsibilities will include:
Understanding and implementing the contractual requirements of project documents, including the roles and responsibilities of all involved

Cost management for project/section of works

Value/change management for project/section of works

Maintaining project risk and opportunities schedule

Assisting procurement in the preparation and issue of subcontract documentation, enquiries and negotiations

Financial reporting

Providing training and support for junior commercial staff and operational staff

Identification, preparation and negotiation of claims

Working in compliance with the contract management tools i.e. Asite (STW system), IFS

Final account, preparation, audit and agreement

About You
Essential
A comprehensive level of commercial experience preferably with a contracting organisation.
BSc or HNC/HND in Quantity Surveying or other equivalent construction related subject
Financially astute
NEC3/4 knowledge and experience
Relevant CSCS Card

Desirable

Water industry experience
Civils experience
M&E experience
Preferably qualified to ICES or RICS accreditation
