Are you a Quantity Surveyor with experience working on groundwork projects? We are currently recruiting on behalf of a reputable main contractor for their Industrial project based in Essex.

Our client has tasked us to identify a candidate who is commercially strong and has proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, to join on a permanent basis. This is a hybrid role which allows days working from home.

Responsibilities:

• Site visits and attending site meetings.
• Management of all financial matters.
• Monitor overall construction costs against construction budget, including prelims and trade packages.
• Report to the Managing Surveyor any budget variance and risks.
• Subcontract procurement.
• Ensure cash flow is maximised including ensuring payments are received on time.
• Preparation of interim valuations.

The successful candidate will have:

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or similar.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience working for a leading main contractor.
• Training for or certification in RICS/MRICS would be ideal.
• Experience working on projects with circa £5m+ in value.
• Previous experience working on groundwork projects is desirable.
