Anderselite are currently working with a Tier 1 contractor who are seeking to add a strong Quantity Surveyor to their established team working on HS2, based in Warwickshire. The ideal candidate will be comfortable and understand change, sub contract package management and CVRs, reporting into the Commercial Manager for the section.

The candidate will be expected to manage packages up to the value of £15m, a mixture of sub contract and self delivery. Any knowledge of this and how they are monitored (trackers, monitoring programme etc.) would be an advantage.



Candidate Profile - Quantity Surveyor HS2

Degree Qualified in Quantity Surveying and Commercial Management
Conversant with NEC3 contracts, with exposure to Option C&D
Heavy Civils experience is essential, working for a main or sub contractor
Strong Excel knowledge, especially with Power BI
Self motivated problem solver, keen to be on site when required (3 days per week) and relationship builder


Responsibilities - Quantity Surveyor HS2

Understanding of pre contract procurement and drafting of contracts
Management of multiple sub contract packages
Understand and process change / manage change throughout project
Monthly reporting of CVRs to Commercial Manager
Monitor Compensation Events
Contract administration & implementation of NEC suite of contract
Training, teaching and mentoring other members of staff as appropriate
Set profitability targets with the team, develop procurement strategy, and regularly produce financial progress reports
Make sure that the client is always aware of our financial and commercial expectations
Monitor progress against programme (including subcontractors) in support of the site management
Participate in regular risk reviews and problem solving
