Job description

Quality Manager - construction - Salisbury (multi-site, across M4 corridor) - £50k-£58k+package - well-established, national construction contractor with a fantastic reputation for staff training and development.

Summary of Role:
* Ensure the works are carried out in compliance with required quality standards, and that the project quality objectives and targets are met.
* Implement divisional quality management systems.
* Help develop, maintain and drive project quality management procedures and processes.
* Provide support for, and mentor, members of the project team to improve quality performance.

Responsibilities:
* Support quality to provide a "best in class" assurance offering.
* In collaboration with the Head of Quality, ensure division conforms to the requirements for accreditation, both at a business level (e.g. ISO 9001) and for division specific accreditations (e.g. Building Confidence).
* Understand and implement both company and Client quality management systems
* Communicate and promote awareness of quality systems and processes within the division
* Promote and contribute to the defects campaign across the projects.
* Coordinate with other quality management resources (both internal and external).
* Implement the Quality Audit programme and feedback possible improvements.
* Contribute to the preparation and submission of tender and pre-qualification responses to promote Building Division's assurance offering.
* Collaborate with the environmental and safety teams to deliver a consistently high standard of performance.
* Feedback ideas and initiatives for continuous improvement to the Head of Quality and/or implement these where agreed.
* Monitor & report performance improvements against the divisional KPI's.
* Maximise the use of IT tools to monitor and control quality
* Understand BIM requirements for projects and identify areas where quality management can be improved by the use of BIM.

CSCS: Required to be able to access site unaccompanied (after site specific induction)
Professional Membership: CQI or similar desired
Relevant Experience: Experience of quality assurance and quality control in the construction industry. Work in a Clerk of Works role or similar would be beneficial.
