Proposals Manager – Civils/Highways – Cheshire – up to £42,000 - Flexible working

My client is a well-established and well-known Civils’ contractor in the North-West region, they are involved in major highways construction and other infrastructure projects throughout the region.

This is a great opportunity to be part of a successful, growing, work winning team. This role has a clear career path for promotion within company. It is a full-time position, based in Warrington but with flexible working options and an attractive salary and benefits package.

The Proposal Manager will coordinate and produce the proposal (RFI, PPQ, ITT) response. Working with the Bid Manager, responsibilities include managing all necessary proposal procedures and governance. This is a highly networked role that requires the ability to work under pressure, to challenging deadlines and to communicate with and manage a variety of team members both internal and external

• Delivery of compliant, professionally produced proposals within customer defined timeframes
• Coordinate and review/edit proposal input from various team members
• Ability to coach teams in persuasive writing and proposal best practice
• Provide advice on flow, language, and grammar to content owners
• Participating in key review meetings (pink/red review) and final document review, content sign-off, and document production
• Document template management in line with company branding and client’s requirements
• Strong time management and prioritisation skills
• Leading answer planning sessions and writing tender responses
• Excellent communication skills at all levels
• Attention to detail
• Flexible working

Proven ability in planning, producing, and delivering compliant proposals within a complex business environment, preferably within the construction/civils sectors. The Proposal Manager will be experienced in scheduling and running tender launch meetings, leading storyboard/answer plan sessions, facilitating key review meetings/final document review, and proposals upload/portal management.

• Previous experience of work winning in construction/civils sectors
• Strong academic background (degree level) in English Language or equivalent is desirable
• Advanced Microsoft Word and PowerPoint skills
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite
• Confident and organised with excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Positive attitude, able to manage and meet multiple project deadlines
• Ability to build relationships with a variety of people at all levels
• Good researching and interviewing skills to obtain information from discipline experts
