Position: Project Manager New Connections

Location: East London/City Area

Salary: £38,000-£47,000 dependant on experience + plus car & benefits

We are recruiting for a Leading Independent Connections Provider (ICP), who are looking to expand their team in London. They require an experienced Project Manager to Manage all aspects of the construction, installation and commissioning of New Electricity Contestable Connections, the successful candidate will deliver contracts on time and within budget, and maintain financial control of projects. Applicants must display proven knowledge of the new connections sector, and have specific experience within the Utilities industry.

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage and supervise internal staff and contractors

  • Responsible for project safety, cost and quality

  • Prepare work instructions, Risk assessments & Method Statements

  • Liaise with local authorities

  • Produce and control project materials

  • Provide monthly reports and ensure that projects are delivered on time and within budget

  • Liaise with DNO's & IDNO's to complete final connections

To be successful in this role, our client would expect you to have:

  • 5 years previous experience as an Electrical Project Manager
  • Distribution Network Operator (DNO), Independent Connections Provider (ICP) or private networks experience
  • Qualification in Electrical Engineering
  • Solid organisational ability and strong influencing skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team, with strong internal and external communication skills
  • Customer service orientated and a desire to achieve the best results
  • Problem solver and solution provider
  • SMSTS, ECS/CSCS, First Aider, Manual Handling
  • NRSWA supervisor qualification an advantage
  • Previous experience of power distribution networks advantageous
  • A full clean driving license
